Interactive KIOSK (Optional)
We have installed many of our new KIOSKs. This KIOSK contains a high speed multimedia computer, driving 3 different displays. Display #1 contains game score information, birthday messages, and general store announcements. Display #2 allows members to recall their game play data and statistics, review their ranking, and take their picture using the built in web cam. Display #3 runs a full size movie, typically a 4 minute briefing of how to play the game.
The KIOSK is 2'6" in diameter and 7'-6" high and communicates to the main game computer using standard ethernet twisted pair wiring. This allows the remote KIOSK to be easily located up to 200' away from the game computer. Longer distances are also easily added.
We have built the first prototype Blaster Tubes. Each Blaster Tube is 2 feet long and contains 180 high output LED's as well as 2 infrared sensors. These tubes can be combined to form any shape base structure you like, such as a triangle or tetrahedron. The IR sensors in the Blaster Tubes allow players to plan an attack on the base and slowly destroy it, one section at a time.
The Blaster Tubes are also used in the vesting and briefing rooms as an accent strip to give it that "Nuclear Reactor" look. The Blaster Tubes can be mounted on the wall connected together to give you any length of LED stripe you like. Each Blaster Tube contains a microprocessor, enabling unique coordinated pulses and flashing patterns.

MicroBlaster Maze Targets (Optional)
We have installed our first "MicroBlaster" target system into our Waterford store. We put 25 of these 2" flashing targets all over the arena. When they randomly turn on, players can tag them for extra points on their score sheet. Each time a microblaster is tagged, they flash brightly, a sound effect is played over the PA, and the microblaster goes out. Initial reaction has been overwhelming!!! This concept is easily themed and can be expanded to 128 Microblasters in the arena. Imagine each microblaster mounted on a stuffed animal, and each animal making a sound when tagged. Haunted houses can make themselves interactive in a heartbeat!
-
Holster Scanners (Optional)
We have completed testing and installation of our first holster based scanning system. This option allows all of the paks to communicate with the computer at the end of the game simultaneously without having to use radio transceivers. A 30 vest system can have all of the game data retrieved in 2 seconds. Our 2nd installation is also up and running, making our customer more money every day!

Birthday Button and SuperHero Button
All of our systems come with 2 "Birthday Buttons". These membership buttons identify the birthday person and boost their capabilities during the game. Use of the birthday button gives the birthday person an advantage to increase their chances of getting the high score. The SuperHero buttons are provided to create special game play where the "SuperHero" gets special capabilities, including 10 shields of 30 seconds each, and 50 photons. 10 players can often subdue one "SuperHero". This game is often played against the owner of a laser tag maze.
-
Programmable Phaser Sounds
We have switched our sound effects processor in the phasers to "FLASH" based sounds. This means that you can put any "WAV" file you like into the phasers.
-
Chest Vibrators (Optional)
We have finished our durability testing on a vibrator system for the chests. This option gives players a powerful vibration in the chest and adds to the WOW effect.
-
MP3 sound server (Optional)
We now offer the capability to play MP3 songs into your arena sound system during the game. This means that the computer controls the starting and stopping of the music, freeing your referees for other tasks. It also allows you to customize your playlist and mix songs from many CD's.
We also offer the capability to play audio CD's from the control computer CD drive into your arena sound system during the game. This provides the same benefits as the MP3 software, with the added flexibility of being able to play customer requested CD's. One disadvantage of using the CD player is that you have the possibility for damage of the CD's due to careless handling, fingerprints, scratches, etc.
-
Member Sound Effects (Optional)
At the end of the game, the control computer reads the name of the vest over the arena sound system to remind players which vest they were wearing. Members can provide a short "WAV" file that will be played when they scan in at the end of the game. This is a member favorite feature.
Our Interactive Bases include 11 digital sound effects and a network interface. This gives the bases the capability to:
-
Select and download "WAV" files to the Interactive Bases
-
Change the way the base works for different levels of play
-
Put out random "taunts" (user selectable) during the game
-
Change the length of time the 10 Amp relay stays on for foggers, strobes, or other special effects.
